What it does:

“AI Images” Google Workspace Add-on lets you instantly create high-quality, AI-generated images inside Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Whether you need illustrations for a report, icons for a spreadsheet, or visuals for a presentation, AI Images makes it simple and fast.

How it works:

  • After installing the add-on, open any Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide.
  • Open the sidebar by clicking the AI Images icon on the right-hand toolbar.
  • Enter your image idea (prompt) into the text field.
  • Click Generate to start the process.
  • Depending on complexity, image generation may take some time. If it’s still running after 30 seconds, simply click Check Status & Get Results to refresh and retrieve your image.
